What is WordPress
WordPress is an open source content management system widely used to create websites. This allows users to create and maintain a website without the need to be web developer.
We use it as BoldLight want to give you with something that you can easily add/change content as you see fit. It is also well supported and plugins are made by WordPress and other developers to enhance/add functionality to your website. You can find out more about this in the next section.
What are plugins in WordPress
Plugins are components you can bolt-on to your site to add/change functionality. For example, we use Beaver Builder to build sites (more on this later on this page). There are also plugins to allow you to build forms for your users to complete (we use Contact Form 7), provide maps (Google Maps) and this only scratches the surface on the tools that are available.
What is Beaver Builder
Beaver Builder is a powerful user-friendly drag and drop interface to make changes to the site. This is also available to you and this wiki will show you how to maintain your site using this tool.
